Soundtrack Your Summer is a joint project by ASOS and Google Play to pair fashion items with in-theme sound. The music is provided by Google Play’s free radio available to the US and the songs are expertly matched to the trends soon to dominate the summer scene.
In a campaign fronted by Essence, Soundtrack Your Summer is an interactive style guide which looks a lot like the magazine pages of yore. ASOS products that look good together are on display while a link leads shopper to the Play Music radio station. The guides may be used by both men and women.
The fashion is curated across four different summer themes: Festival Season, Pool Party, Roof Party and Labor Day Weekend.
The continued rise in popularity of “festival chic” and the inspirations that streetwear and music continue to build upon show that the marriage of fashion and music is in the stars.

Now that Google Play Music has free, ad-supported radio, we saw ASOS as the perfect brand for reaching more and new music and fashion lovers with this service,” said Jessica Igoe, Head of Media and Marketing Partnerships, Google Play Music.
Google Play Music is available in 58 countries but the collaboration with ASOS is exclusive to the United States.
